Woman scolded for running around airport tarmac to stretch legs after long flight

Samantha Stewart

If you’ve been cooped up on a lengthy flight for way too long, sometimes all you want to do is stretch your legs. That’s okay, of course, as long as you don’t do it on a busy tarmac.

An American woman disembarking a flight in Edenborough has been filmed acting incredibly reckless.

After leaving the aircraft, the woman – for unknown reasons – runs hastily out onto the tarmac and around the plane, before being told to go back to the airport shuttle by a baggage handler.

The film, shot by a passenger then shows the woman being confronted by an airport worker who reprimands her “unbelievable” behaviour.

“Do you want to get killed?” the airport worker asks, clearly confused by the woman’s irrational behaviour.

Just like inside the airport, strict rules also apply on the tarmac. If there are moving vehicles, or refuelling trucks, passengers are prohibited from using their mobile phones, and must stay with the airport handler.

Depending on the airline, running across the tarmac can also be deemed a “security breach” and potentially become a matter for police.
