The smart suitcase that can climb stairs with built-in tracks

Smart luggage is on the rise, with suitcases now coming with device chargers, weight scales and even GPS to make sure it doesn't go missing.

But the latest innovation will ensure that we never have to struggle up and down stairs again. Introducing the TraxPack.

Co-founders Naisha Joseph and Richard Braddock came up with the idea after Naisha struggled up several flights of stairs with her suitcase during a trip to Jamaica.

They've launched a kickstarter for the project, hoping to take their new suitcase to the masses. Check out the video above, we think the idea has legs. Or wheels, depending on how you look at it.

The carry-on features tracks that run at the back of the case, gripping to the stairs to make the movement smooth and easy. No more lugging.

And of course, all the usual smart luggage bells and whistles are included, with a built-in scale, mobile charging and dual USB ports.
