Luxury travel experts at Kuoni have combined the last two years of internal booking data with Google data, to reveal that classic exotic honeymoon destinations across the Indian Ocean are set to see the biggest influx of lovebirds in 2025.
One tropical paradise is topping the charts, but it's not where you might think as a favourite is toppled.
Here are the top 10 trending destinations for lovebirds right now.
10. Maldives
Once considered the pinnacle of a aromatic holiday destination, the Maldives has only just landed inside the top 10 for 2025 as people look to expand their options.
A Mauritius honeymoon of course still delivers lush landscapes, stunning white sand beaches and supreme luxury. The island is a melting pot of diverse cultures and landscapes, with sapphire lagoons brimming with aquatic life and volcanic mountain terrain.
9. Kenya
In ninth place is an ideal destination for couples who are after a little more adventure than relaxation on their honeymoon.

Thailand secures its spot in the top five thanks to ranking as one of the most booked honeymoon destinations this year, alongside an impressive 6,600 monthly Google searches.
A true tropical paradise, Thailand is a haven for foodies and market-lovers, while its world-famous beaches offer no end of Instagram, relaxation and swimming opportunities too.
With the current season of The White Lotus filmed in Koh Samui, the country is surely set to see an influx of more visitors in the coming years.
