Real-life 'Fresh Prince' Bel-Air mansion listed on Airbnb for 40 bucks a night

It's been 30 years since the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air appeared on our screens, and to celebrate the milestone anniversary Will Smith has converted his former Bel-Air "kingdom" into an Airbnb stay.

Better still, the iconic real-life mansion from the show will be available to rent for just US$30 ($41) a night, over five separate nights on October 2, 5, 8, 11 and 14.

Smith announced the 30th anniversary Airbnb promotion over Instagram earlier today, with a selfie in front of the iconic property.

"YOOOO!! Y'all think we should rent out the @freshprince house?? We're making it happen with the squad at @airbnb!! #FreshPrince30th," he captioned the shot.

Fans are already in a frenzy over the rare opportunity to live out their Fresh Prince fantasies, with thousands of comments ranging from "hell yeah" and "where do I sign up" to "crazy!"

Some viewers expressed shock that the house really exists.

"This is a real house? Wow." one fan weighed in.

"PLEASE GOD THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE," another wrote.

Most fans of the original '90s hit show will recognise the stately mansion's facade, however, once you venture inside you're in for a surprise.

The mansion has been given a fresh makeover specifically for the anniversary, and naturally is loaded with fan fodder, with Fresh Prince tributes ranging from graffiti art and turntables to family portraits and "Philly cheesesteaks served on silver platters", according to the press release.

Guests will stay in Will's wing of the mansion, featuring a luxury bedroom and bathroom, dining room, and poolside lounge.

Other notable house features, include a foosball table, a grand piano, a sneaker and hat display cabinet, and a 'crown' bedhead.

Guests who're feeling peckish will be well looked after in the very kingly, wood-panelled dining room, decked with grand armchairs, a white tablecloth and a spread fit for a king or queen.

But perhaps most excitingly for true nostalgia suckers, you're also able to raid Will's closet for iconic get-ups, ranging from Bel-Air prep to street style by Bel-Air Athletics, and a brand-new pair of Air Jordans for shooting some b-ball in the bedroom.

Sadly, the experience is only on offer for Los Angeles County residents who live in the same house, on account of COVID-19 restrictions, but the one-time opportunity does offer Aussie fans a sneak-peek into the iconic mansion.
