Passenger caught on camera doing the unthinkable on plane

A plane passenger has been caught on camera swiping through her in-flight entertainment system using her toes, leaving other passengers disgusted.

In the clip, which was shared on the 'Passenger Shaming' Instagram page, a woman in the aisle seat can be seen resting her bare feet against the wall of the plane.

She then lifts her right foot and uses her big toe to swipe through film options on the plane's touch-screen in-flight entertainment system.

Unaware that she is being filmed, the woman committed the "unthinkable" act so casually, one has to wonder how many times she had done it before.

"In case you're wondering why we wipe everything down on planes," the account captioned the clip.

Other Instagram users were horrified by the video, hundreds branding the act "disgusting" and "uncivilised".

"Who the f—k does this?" was a common question in the post's comments section.

"So disgusting, bare feet on planes needs to be banned," one person added.

Many agreed, saying that passengers should be required to keep their socks on at a minimum during flights.

"We have a pre-flight video for safety… I think it's time we have a pre-flight/during boarding video about flight etiquette," one wrote.

Others insisted that there shouldn't need to be footwear regulations, passengers simply need to use their common sense and not touch screens with their bare feet.

One simply said: "This is why I take disinfectant wipes every time I fly."

Safe to say we'll be packing some for our next flights!
