Neiman Marcus unveil lavish Christmas gift guide, complete with $30k a day getaway

Not sure what to ask Santa for this Christmas? Well if you have extra deep pockets, this opulent gift list is a great place to start.

Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus have unveiled the loot in this year's annual festive fantasy gift guide — and let's just say there's a reason it's called a "fantasy" guide, with a host of travel goodies and experiences thrown in, beyond your wildest dreams.

However, topping the list of lavish items is a 30-day holiday package by luxury travel firm Black Tomato going for a whopping $882,000 (USD$630,000). In case you were wondering, we've done the math, and this price tag works out to be almost $30,000 a day.

Obviously, the itinerary is packed with exclusive perks and experiences, from a posh yachting excursion across the Indian Ocean to stays in some of the world's most luxurious hotels.

The package lets you bring four people, and features luxe perks at every turn — naturally, you'll be flying on private jets, sipping the finest wines and indulging in the world's best cuisine while travelling around exclusive spots in India, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.

Personal trainers, tour guides, butlers are all included, with some stand-out experiences and stays on offer.

Guests will be sleeping at Asia's best hotels, including Oberoi Amar Villas and all three Soneva Maldives properties, receiving treatments at award-winning spa retreats, taking private helicopters to jaw-dropping sites including Mount Everest, accessing remote pockets of Asia for unrivalled nature experiences including swimming in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and star tracking with an expert astronomer, and visiting grand palaces.

Some of the other items on the list are just as gob-smacking.

For around $774,000 (USD$550,000) you can attend all four US tennis majors as a VIP guest of the 2017 US Open champion, Sloan Stephens, which includes hotel stays, one-on-one hitting sessions, and signed tennis memorabilia.

The priciest of the travel experiences on offer, however, is the Serenity Solar Yacht, which will set you back an eye-watering $10 million (USD$7.1 million). At 74-feet and with four cabins over three luxe levels, it's the world's largest solar powered yacht. Naturally, it features a state-of-the-art entertainment system, satellite TV, wifi, a full functional kitchen and dreamy looking swimming pool.

Much like Gwyneth Paltrow's comically out of touch Goop Christmas wish lists, which last year exceeded $8 million and featured such items as a $12,000 bar cart and $76,000 Cognac experience in France, the Neiman Marcus guide is strictly for those one-percenters. Still, it's fun to have a peek.
