Naomi Campbell's flight sanitising ritual is gloriously extreme
Not doing much to debunk tropes of supermodels being a little, erm, over the top, fashion icon Naomi Campbell just revealed her pre-flight ritual — and it's ... a lot.
In a new clip uploaded to her YouTube channel, the celebrity documents her extreme plane routine as she boards a Qatar flight to Doha — first class naturally, darling.
Skipping straight to the flight prep part, the diva digs around for what she refers to as her "hydration pack".
But before she can get settled into her plush Qatar suite, the model gets to work cleaning and scrubbing (yes, really) up a storm, snapping on the plastic gloves and going to town with those sanitising wipes — even lining her seat with a bright pink liner ("they're hand-washed at every hotel I go to"). A fellow passenger looks on amused at the OTT performance, even asking her to disinfect her seat.
"I don’t do [it] for you but I’ll share [wipes] with you," the model replies.
She even ends the elaborate routine by putting on a face mask.
"This is my protection from people’s coughing and sneezing," she explains.
In the model's defense, we see a lot of gross things happen on planes, from suspect foot habits to disturbing weeping leg injuries. Maybe she's onto something.
