Mum's hilarious passport hack for toddler photos: 'Literal genius'

Getting a toddler to do anything can be a struggle at the best of times, let alone when it's something as important as taking a passport photo.

So when mum Gabby shared her 'big time parent hack' to nab a decent photo of her little one it naturally went viral.

"How to take passport pictures of toddlers," Gabby wrote alongside a video she posted to her popular TikTok account @thecarlinfamily, and it's received millions of views.

The video shows her husband trying to get their daughter to sit on a chair in front of a white background in order to take a photo.

Of course, she's having none of it. So instead, hubby drapes a white sheet over himself, before sitting down on the chair and popping their daughter on his lap.

"Passport pic or mugshot," Gabby adds on the clip, before showing of the end result, which you can see above.

The video has been flooded with thousands of comments and hilarious reactions.

"Omg why didn't I think of that," one person wrote.

"Really helpful," another said, while a third called it "literal genius".

Others couldn't get over the hilarious attempt at getting a plain background, with some joking it looked like a 'ghost'.

"Later in life tell her a ghost was holding her," one person said.

"Looks like she is sitting on a ghost's lap," another mused.

Though one person pointed out: "That picture will not be accepted as a passport picture."
