Before planning your 2018 trip, we'd recommend checking out this map which shows how tourist-friendly countries really are.
Released by International SOS and Control Risks, by collecting data from the World Health Organization and other institutions, the interactive ‘Travel Risk Map’ reveals just how risky countries are.

It's based on figures linked to road safety, security and medical matters, with the dark red meaning extreme danger and yellow meaning low.
