Stephanie Coombes
London has a terrifying new tourist attraction – the world’s longest and fastest tube slide.
For 40 exhilarating seconds riders have sweeping views of London, while they plummet to the Earth at speeds of up to 24 kilometres per hour.

The tubular attraction is 178 metres long, 76 metres high and winds itself around England’s biggest public art installation – the ArcelorMittal Orbit.
The artwork, placed in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, was originally criticised by many as an expensive eyesore, with the cost of construction coming to $19 million.
If you’re brave enough to try the slide, a single ride will costs $27 and includes the hire of protective head gear, shoulder pads and a mat to sit on.
