This airport robot will carry your luggage and take you to your gate

Growing up, we were told that in the future robots would be roaming the streets doing all our hard work for us, and soon that will pretty much become a reality.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is currently testing Care-E, a "self-driving trolley with a heart of gold" designed to make your travelling experience practically seamless.

As seen in the footage released by KLM above, the robot will scan your boarding pass and check you in "using a variety of nonverbal sounds." It will also carry up to 38 kilograms of luggage and travel alongside you as you roam through the airport.

Thanks to Al technology, Care-E will always know where to go, if there are any gate changes and can redirect you accordingly if that's the case.

It even has a face of sorts, reacting to actions made by the traveller.

The KLM Care-E travel assistant will be rolled out at New York's JFK and San Francisco airports later this year.
