The first drone footage from Kakadu National Park is truly amazing

For the first time in history, a drone has been used to capture this incredible birds-eye vision of Kakadu National Park.

Released by Tourism NT (Northern Territory), the video - entitled A Journey through Kakadu - navigates through the 20,000 square World Heritage-listed national park from above. And it's a beauty.

Drone experts, Salty Wings, were given special permission by the land’s traditional owners for drones to film, making it the first time that people around the world can see the park from above.

Google recently collaborated with Tourism NT and indigenous Australians to create an online experience of Uluru and Kata Tjuta on Street View.

With the success of that project, they plan to move on to other sites like Kakadu.
