The most beautiful sunset ever has been captured

It’s a big call but storm chaser Mike Olbinski might just have captured the most stunning sunset ever seen.

The viral footage shows a rare fluid sunset, in which the clouds are low-lying and continuously moving as they are illuminated by the last rays of sunlight.

In fact, it’s so rare that the cloud formation, officially called undulatus asperatus, was only recognised by the World Meteorological Organization in March this year.

Mike had been in Bismarck, North Dakota, catching the tail-end of a storm, which cleared just before the sunset in the area. It was cameras out.

Mike said: "This was undoubtedly one of the most incredible scenes I've witnessed chasing storms for the past eight years.”

And since uploading it to his YouTube, it’s been watched 105,000 times, with his followers dubbing it the “most beautiful sunset” and “the best time-lapse shots ever seen".
