Photographer dedicates three years of his work to finding rugged landscape framed by nature

Travel photographer Douglas Stratton likes a challenge, especially one that's dedicated to unearthing the natural beauty around him.

And that's why he spent three years of his life trekking through two states to take photos of natural peepholes in the rugged landscape of Arizona and Utah.

He said: "Photographing and exploring these natural places is food for your soul. The more I do it, the more I am experienced these places, the more I crave to be out there."

Previously based in Atlanta, he packed his bags for a solo-jaunt in the desert and the results of his exploration are breathtaking.

The natural windows are the result of weathering over hundreds of years, allowing a picture-perfect view of the world surrounding.
