World's largest spokeless ferris wheel has opened and we're quite confused

The future has officially arrived in the form of a spokeless ferris wheel in the town of Weifang, China.

The incredible structure now open to the public sits on top of the 1,771-feet Bailang River Bridge, hence the name – Bailang River Bridge Ferris Wheel.

Ready to roll, the structure and its 36 circular pods each seat 10 passengers at a time, taking them on a 30-minute scenic adventure.

Riders brave enough to take on the heights will experience unparalleled views of the Bailang River in Weifang City, in East China's Shandong Providence.

But epic views aren't the only thing this Ferris wheel has to offer.

Each pod features Wi-Fi, so passengers can share their experiences on social media, and televisions, which reportedly connect to an external camera, giving each rider an indication of their position on the wheel.

As you can tell, this attraction is a marvel of architectural beauty. Unlike most typical ferris wheels, this one doesn't actually turn. Instead, each of the 36 pods are affixed to a gear that circulates the circumference of the wheel, like a round track. A complete a rotation takes around half an hour.

As the world's first ferris wheel without spokes, the 475-feet tall attraction is set to become Weifang's most eye-catching landmark.
