Eerie field of scarecrows has been discovered in Finland
Forget about houses, buildings and the occasional blurred person, there are some truly bizarre findings on Google Maps, and the latest will give you nightmares.
A Reddit user has discovered a field of over 1000 scarecrows in a remote part of Finland, but they’re not the typical scare crow you’d expect.
The rogue straw men and women are all placed together, dressed in clothing, and resemble something straight out of a horror film.

The strange image, however, isn’t as grim as it seems. The figures are part of an art installment called “The Silent People” which can be found in the Suomussalmi region of Finland.
Since 1994, the eerie exhibition has stood in the field, no doubt baffling travellers who stumble across the bizarre sight.
A similar discovery on Google maps was found in Tokyo, except this time there were no scarecrows, just people dressed in pigeon masks.

The finding at Tamagawa-josui sidewalk has no explanation, and the same applies for this creepy message located on top of a building in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee.

“Come downtown and play” is sprawled on the roof of a complex in the American city, and while it was most likely placed there to promote business, it instead feels slightly unnerving.
