IcelandAir's dreamy passenger snaps will make you want to extend your stopover

IcelandAir has collected thousands of amateur snaps of Europe's most sparsely populated country – and the results are spellbinding.

The company, which has embarked on an extensive marketing campaign to encourage travellers to schedule an extended stopover in the Scandinavian country, invited passengers to share snaps from their stays under the hashtag #MyStopover.

In the mix are snaps of Arora Borealis, which is frequently visible from various locations throughout Iceland, snow-capped mountains and glaciers, and the country's infamous sparkling blue lagoons.

You can view all 90,000 entries – which are filtered by hashtag, likes, or location, on the website.
