New floating hotel and spa looks like its straight out of Game of Thrones

If White Walkers were the type of folk to enjoy a spa break with a twist, then we're guessing they would choose the Arctic Bath, a floating hotel in Swedish Lapland.

Set to open in early 2018, the hotel will freeze into place during winter, offering guests a sweeping vista of smooth white ice.

And in summer, it will be gently rocked by the current of the Lule River, found in the small town of Harads.

Designed by architects Bertil Harström and Johan Kauppi, they have taken inspiration from the region's logging heritage, as logs would occasionally jam in the river.

The artist renderings show the spa building will contain central cold bath, with saunas, treatment rooms and relaxation rooms surrounding.

There's also a restaurant, bar and lounge to soak up the otherworldly backdrop.

Separate from the main spa area, there will be six guest rooms which will accommodate two people each.

It's private, romantic and opening in 2018.
