Woman shares genius trick to get you through airport security with zero stress

Anyone who's ever flown on a plane knows that the absolute worst part of the experience is almost always the airport security line.

But what if there was a way to guarantee a short and stress-free security experience every time you fly?

Well – there's a way to do it.

A travel influencer named Raimee has shared a video to TikTok revealing a life-saving tip for anyone flying out of London's Heathrow airport.

"This is the coolest thing I've seen any airport do," she said in the video.

"They have a new thing called Timeslot that allows you to schedule when you go through security."

Raimee shows screenshots of her logging into Timeslot and reserving a time to go through security.

"You can pick your timeslot two to three days before your trip, you'll get a QR code and then you'll make your way to the specific area in Heathrow – there are signs everywhere, you'll be able to find it," the American traveller explains.

The video shows her taking out her liquids and heading through a security screening. "I am not kidding when I say I got through Heathrow security in less than five minutes," she said.

While it sounds like something reserved for first-class passengers only, Timeslot is a legit offering for those travelling out of Heathrow.

Currently, the airport is only trailing Timeslot for six months with selected flights on American Airlines, Delta, Emirates and Virgin Atlantic from Terminal 3.

There are plans to introduce Timeslot to other airlines during and after the trial.

It's completely free to use, and is an option for groups of up to five passengers. So long as you book in your Timeslot within 90 minutes of your flight's departure, you're good to go.

Mark Powell, operational planning director at Heathrow, said: "This new trial will give passengers that extra added bit of certainty and reassurance ahead of their journey and we think it will be particularly popular for those with families or nervous travellers who may want a bit more confidence in their journeys."
