It's that time of the year when Aussies start dreaming of a European summer getaway full of sun, sand and sangria.
If you're looking for some destination inspiration, holiday rental platforms Holidu has helpfully released new research revealing the Top Sunniest Cities in Europe.
Looking at data from World Weather Online to calculate the average monthly sun hours and temperatures, Spain came out a clear winner with eight cities in the top 10.

15. Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain
