The battle of the most superior first class suite seems to be currently in full swing, with Emirates releasing their offering just a week after Singapore Airlines.

In a true "anything you can do, I can do better", the airline has introduced a number of fandangle upgrades, including zero gravity beds, private cabins and mood lighting.

Each suite has a 32-inch HD LCD TVs with over 2,500 channels of on-demand entertainment or passengers can stream content from their own devices.

And if you hate being disturbed by mere wait staff, then there's a "service window" so food and drink can be delivered without disturbing the passenger.

The suites are a take on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, with the zero-gravity beds "inspired by NASA technology".

The cost? From $12,000 a ticket.

And each First Class passenger will receive an "inspiration kit" featuring luxury Byredo skincare, moisturising pyjamas, and Bulgari amenity kit.
