The world's cheapest country for beers has been revealed

Beer drinkers of the world, listen up. One of the harsh realities of travelling in a group is dealing with the drinks; before you know it, a humble round of beers can turn into a $600 bill and when it comes to splitting that bill, well, we all know how difficult that can be.

To save you any stress before you go on your next group holiday, Intrepid has done the hard work and figured out just how much beer you can get for a mere Australian $20. Surprisingly, it's a lot.

Per their official Global Beer Index, Vietnam is the cheapest place in the world for beers, with $20 scoring you 14 beers. (That's just $1.35 per drink.)

Following closely behind with eight beers at $2.50 each is Mexico, Egypt, Egypt and Myanmar.

In New Zealand, $20 will score you three beers, while the same amount of money will get you just two in the United States.

Perhaps beer drinkers heading to Iceland need to rethink how many rounds they order. Iceland happens to be the most expensive place to buy beer, with one single schooner costing a whopping $14.50.
