If you want flying or packing tips, flight attendants are probably the best source of great information.

And while a lot of tips fall into the same category (stay hydrated, don't go barefoot), sometimes cabin crew bestow upon us an absolute gem of a travel tip.

For example: Get yourself a box of latte sachets.

Maddy Edgar is a Qantas Business and First Class flight attendant who regularly flies the 17-hour Perth-to-London route.

The Qantas staffer shared her best plane-ready tips with the Mirror, and among her nuggets of wisdom, one thing really stood out to us.

Every time she packs her carry-on bag, Maddy includes a sachet of latte coffee. That way all she needs is a cup of hot water and she's got herself a delicious cup of coffee to get her through the flight.

Maddy says it's an essential "I just can't live without".

It's easy enough for passengers to do the same, as cabin crew are always happy to supply you with a cup of hot water.

It's a great tip for anyone out there who needs their caffeine fix to keep going, but can't stomach the filter coffee that's served on board.

I personally can really get around this tip. There's nothing worse than getting off a 17-hour flight and being faced with long immigration lines before I've had a good coffee. Because honestly, airplane coffee simply does not do it for me.

Another popular in-flight snack hack is to bring a cup of two-minute noodles on board with you. Then when you get peckish, just ask cabin crew to add hot water to your cup.

This tip is especially great for shorter flights, or on budget airlines when you may not be served a meal.

Qantas flight attendant Maddy says having a travel-sized face spray is another great thing to keep at hand when you're flying.

"The lack of humidity in cabin air can really dry out your skin and lips," she says, so regularly giving yourself a spritz of moisture doesn't just feel luxurious, but it's also great for your skin.

Speaking of staying hydrated, it's a good idea to bring a refillable bottle of water on board.

"It can help bringing your own drink bottle onboard and having it refilled regularly – just ask your flight attendant," cabin crew member Bryony previously told 9Travel.

"Keeping hydrated is the best way to minimise jetlag and helps to combat the dry environment of the aircraft cabin," she shares.

"This, alongside keeping your skin hydrated, stretching regularly, and taking regular bathroom breaks, are all easy ways you can survive and thrive once you reach your destination."
