Canadian customs stunned over note from guilty traveller

A guilty traveller who crossed the Canadian border last year has sent a handwritten letter and cash to Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) customs officers, apologising for the two items they neglected to declare in 2018.
We get it Canadians, you're better than us.
"Attention Customers," the letter reads. "Please accept this $10.00 for duty on an item I neglected to declare in 2018. Thank you."
Along with the letter, a $10 note was enclosed in the envelope.
"Everyone was rather surprised because it doesn't happen very often as far as we can tell," CBSA spokesperson Chris Kealey told CBC.
While the sender of the letter remains unknown, Kealy said the envelope came from Ontario city of Thunder Bay, north of the Pigeon River in Canada.

"The money goes into the general revenue fund for the government. But what is odd is it was filed under a revenue code called 'conscience money'," Kealy told Fox News.
"So we were surprised to get the note, but we were surprised that there existed this code, too."
