Boston named America's second-sexiest accent, but the internet isn't so sure

America is home to some pretty gnarly accents, but a recent survey released by Dubai-based Big 7 Travel claims the award for sexiest goes to Texans, closely followed by Bostonians.

Texans having the sexiest US accent is an idea we can get around, but the noises Bostonians make from their mouths aren't exactly wicked hawt.

We're not the only ones thinking it. The ruling is so controversial it's currently trending on Twitter, with everyone chucking in their two cents, including stand-up comic and improviser Alyssa Limperis. Watch the full clip above to hear her hilarious take on the result.

The survey results have left the Twitterverse truly baffled.

"I can confidentally say this survey has some flawed methodology," wrote one Twitter user.

"Did a Boston accent write this?" another user asked in reference to an article about the results.
