These are the best times to fly to and from Australia's airports
As if flying wasn't stressful enough, there's nothing worse than embarking on a mad dash to the airport only to find your flight has been delayed.
But what if there was a better time to fly to increase the chances of your flight leaving on time?
Aussie brand Kadi Luggage has collected all the info you need, releasing new data on the best time and day of the week to schedule flights at five major Australian airports.
The data looked at 100,000 flights across Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth airports over a 30-day period to see which were the most punctual.

Best and worst airports to depart from
Good news for those heading out of Sydney Airport. This busy hub was found to be the most punctual place to fly from, with flights departing 23 minutes before their scheduled time.
Adelaide and Brisbane airports also performed well, with flights departing 19 minutes and 14 minutes early respectively.
Those flying out of Perth should expect delays, with the average wait time being seven minutes.
Meanwhile, Melbourne took out the bottom spot on the list, with an average flight delay of eight minutes.

Best day and time to depart
Whether you're heading interstate for a business trip or flying out on a longer international holiday, the data found that if you have some flexibility to book your trip, these are the best days and times to pick.
Sydney
Don't feel like killing hours in the airport lounge? Book your flight to leave on Friday between 12pm to 3pm for the best chances of seamless travelling.

Adelaide
For those with some flexibility, flying out of Adelaide airport is best on a Tuesday between 12pm to 3pm.
Brisbane
The start of the week is the best time to depart Brissy airport, with Monday flights between 12pm to 3pm giving you the best chance of getting away easily.
Perth
The early bird gets the worm for Perth travellers - book flights for Sunday morning between 5am and 9am to minimise delays.
Melbourne
According to the data, Tuesday morning flights between 9am to 12pm are the best times to fly out of Melbourne airports.

Sydney
If you want to an easy arrival into Sydney airport, book a flight to land on Sunday between 12pm to 3pm.
Adelaide
Arriving between 3pm and 6pm on Sunday will help give travellers the best chance of a smooth run.

According to the data, flights arriving in Brisbane on Saturday between 6pm and 9pm are 11 minutes ahead of schedule.
Perth
Keen to keep that holiday buzz going? Schedule flights into Perth for Saturday afternoons between 3pm and 6pm for the least delay time.
Melbourne
Midweek flights into Melbourne are best, with data showing Tuesday flights between 3pm and 6pm arrive nine minutes before their scheduled time.
