One thing that might be putting many people off long-haul travel at the moment is the cost involved.

And while the idea of 'you get what you paid for' on a 10-plus hour flight could be risky, at the end of the day it's the destination you're really aiming for.

The best budget airlines for long-haul flights in the world have been revealed, with the announcement of the 2024 Skytrax awards - considered the 'Oscars of commercial aviation'.

Votes were gathered from surveys of more than 21 million customers from 100 countries about 350 airlines.
