Expedia has released its Island Hot List for 2025, the definitive guide to island travel based on traveller data.
According to the site's report, we're all in need of a sunny holiday - global interest for islands is up on average 30 per cent.
"Powered by real traveller data, the Expedia Island Hot List gives travellers the inspiration they need to plan a smarter island escape," said Rebecca Hurley, Expedia Travel Expert.

Sardinia, Italy
Best for: Food
The island's rugged coastline and hilltop villages are made even more enticing by the clear blue ocean which is the perfect temperature for a dip.
This year has seen a boom in agritourism and immersive experiences where you can eat, hike, and live like a local.
