Crowne Plaza Terrigal review: Stunning beach escape just 90 minutes from Sydney
While Sydney is home to some of the most incredible beaches, sometimes it's nice to get out of the city and head up the coast.
Terrigal is less than two hours from Sydney and offers the ideal location for an intimate couples retreat, an elegant girls weekend away, or just a much-needed coastal holiday.
Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific is one of the most well-known places to stay, and recently, I was fortunate enough to be invited to a first-of-its-kind VIP experience there called 'The Pacific Club'.

The location
Famed for its broad golden sand beach, tranquil lagoon and seaside vibe, Terrigal is a coastal town on the Central Coast of New South Wales, located 12 kilometres east of Gosford.

And the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific, located in the heart of Terrigal, is the ultimate deluxe beachside accommodation.
Situated right across Terrigal beach on the Esplanade, just a 90-minute drive from Sydney, this is a perfect and stunning escape to relax and rejuvenate.

The room
As part of The Pacific Club experience we were lucky enough to stay in the luxurious Pacific Suite, and it is special.
As you open the door you are instantly taken by the incredible beach view. From the bedroom to the living/diving you are surrounded by a sparkling sea of blue that peaks through the Norfolk Pines, instantly putting you at ease.

Recently refurbished by Coco Republic the interior is an elegant reflection of its beautiful surroundings. From the earthly tones of the leather and marble to the floating linen curtains that move with the breeze, this space is modern, sophisticated and luxe.
A fun fact learnt on our stay was that every room at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific faces the ocean which in a property is very rare. Being able to fall asleep and wake to the rhythmic sounds of the beach and the waves is just absolute heaven.
Attention is all the details at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific. With in-room wellness kits, deluxe bathroom essentials, a well equipped bar fridge, bath robes and slippers all at the ready for a fabulous stay.

The food
One word, luxury.
The Pacific Club experience provided us with priority access to dine at Meribella restaurant, located on the first floor of Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific.
We were treated to the Head Chef Joshua Mason designed five course tasting menu with matching wines. Every wine was paired perfectly with each course, it has an exceptional menu with something for everyone!
One of our servers, Hayley, has been working at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific for 16 years and she was amazing! You could tell that all the staff were very proud of the restaurant and the hotel which made this stay feel even more special.

As night fell, we ventured to Meribella Bar for some oysters and sparkling, you can't go wrong with that! The oysters were delicious, fresh and presented stunningly under Meribella's intimate lighting and setting by the window. The night before we were here to try the Pacific Club exclusive Meribella Cocktail Hour and the drinks were just divine.
Meribella restaurant and bar lived up to its fine dining, glamorous coastal experience and was styled to perfection. Being able to enjoy the spectacular food and drinks we did with the beautiful seaside location, you'd be crazy to not come and try it for yourself!
Things to do in Terrigal
At Terrigal Beach House we were treated to one of their insane seafood platters in a private beachfront cabana.
These private cabanas are perfect for both an intimate or social setting, fitting 8-12 people. We soaked in the views and felt the ocean breeze with delicious food and drinks.
The hot seafood platter, wow. You know it's good when a stranger comments on how amazing it looks and where they can get one too! This platter and cabana experience was definitely a stand out for us, we could've stayed in there all day.

Another great activity is the 2 minute walk from the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific to the Skillion scenic lookout. Take in the incredible views of the coastline and if you're lucky like us, you may even be able to spot a whale or two.
Terrigal beach located directly across from the hotel is perfect for swimming, surfing or just lazing in the sun. If it is too cold for a swim in the ocean, Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific has a heated pool, spa and sauna making it feel like summer any time of the year.
The verdict
A stay at Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific is a perfect getaway for everyone.
Every element of our Pacific Club experience had an elevated, seamless VIP touch. We were always treated to the best seats in the house, making our stay a pleasure beyond compare.
The staff were very warm and welcoming, the ocean-view Pacific suite was breathtaking and all of the food was to die for.
