Cluster of igloo bars pop up on Sydney Harbour

The winters may be short in Australia but that doesn't mean we have to skimp on truly wintry experiences.

A cluster of Nordic-inspired igloos have popped-up near Sydney Harbour at luxe new hotel, Pier One. And they're here to stay until the end of the season.

Inside the ice baubles, there's a roaring fireplace, beans bags, fur rugs and even fluffy slippers.  The best bit? G.H.Mumm Champagne is on tap and you can tuck into hearty toasties, pies and hot soups.

A small dome costs $400 for three hours, while a big dome – holding ten people – is $600. Cheaper than a trip to the artic though.
