School's out, summer is here and Melbourne is turning up the heat (literally and figuratively) with heaps of fun to be had over the coming months.

Playtime with Elm and Willow Adventure Trail
Join Rippon Lea's beloved bears, Elm and Willow, for an enchanting adventure through the historic grounds. Until February 28, follow their trail through the old farm, the pleasure garden, and the serene lake.
Along the way, meet their waddling duck friends, see the working windmill, and let your imagination soar as you create stories together.
Inspired by the cherished characters from the National Trust children's book of the same name, Elm and Willow are Rippon Lea's cuddliest residents, and they can't wait to meet you.

Fun at the Australian Open
The Australian Open 2025 is all about getting fans close to the court and in on the action, making the AO Ballpark Presented By Emirates one of the hottest places to visit this summer.
With activities for children as young as two, the AO Ballpark premieres on Kids Tennis Day on Saturday 11 January and is open throughout the tournament.
This year the Hot Shots HQ is back and bigger than ever with three speed serves, to measure how fast you can whack a tennis ball, three mini tennis courts and a skills garden of tennis skills for young fans to show off their talents.
There's also going to be daily stage shows – hello Peppa Pig and PJ Masks – along with a a new custom-designed waterslide with four lanes, the perfect way to cool off in the heat too.
Kids Ground passes start at $15. Free for ages two and under.
