9Travel and Today's Aussie Travel Trends Index surveyed Nine audiences across TV, digital, print and radio, to find out your favourite travel destinations. Here are the results.
A camping holiday might not be for everybody, but for those keen Australia is certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to stunning locations to set up a tent.
Or a campervan, or caravan, which yes, still counts as camping.
To find out which destinations around the country are the best for a camping adventure, we asked our Nine audience to vote in our inaugural 9Travel survey the Aussie Travel Trends Index.

The Grampians in Victoria and Bay of Fires in Tasmania were voted the best camping locations. Nine / Supplied
Coming in first place, according to our survey respondents, was the Grampians National Park, a nature reserve in Victoria.
It's known for its sandstone mountains, wildflowers, and wildlife including echidnas and wallabies. Trails lead to waterfalls like towering MacKenzie Falls and lookouts such as the Balconies, with views of the Victoria Range.
The region offers caravan parks, wilderness camping and even glamping areas. Some campgrounds in The Grampians are free and require no bookings, such as Plantation Campground, Kalymna Falls Campground and Wannon Crossing Campground.

Tasmania was again a popular choice for a holiday among our readers (having already won a few other categories) taking both second and third spot.
At number two, the Bay of Fires Conservation Area offers beach-side camping and the elevated sites amongst the trees have amazing views of the coast and sea.

Best known for the stunning beauty of Wineglass Bay, Freycinet National Park came in third place overall.
A 2hr 30min drive (195km) north-east of Hobart, the region offers stunning breachfront camping. Richardsons Beach, Honeymoon Bay and Ranger Creek are great options.
Other popular regions featuring in the top ten included Kosiosko National Park, K'gari (formerly known as Fraser Island), Kakadu and Uluru in the Northern territory, and the Flinders Range in South Australia.
While camping and caravan-ing is becoming a more popular holiday choice, just over half of survey respondents (59 per cent) didn't have a favourite location, or said they don't go camping.

The survey, conducted by 9Travel and Today, showed that people are travelling to various destinations across Australia, although eastern seaboard locations are the most popular.
Far North Queensland was voted as the number one favourite holiday destination in Australia by our readers. Wineglass Bay in Tasmania was crowned Australia's favourite beach.
Daylesford in Victoria was voted as Australia's favourite regional town.
