Airport worker in Japan filmed cleaning suitcases on baggage carousel

Think of the horror when you go to pick up your suitcase after a long haul flight and it's covered in scratches and dirt, or even worse, damaged. Think of selecting beautiful designer luggage, but knowing it won't last one trip unscathed. Well if you're flying to Japan that might not be a worry anymore. A Japanese airport staffer has been filmed cleaning suitcases as they travel along a luggage carousel. 

In the video, which is credited to DKN.TV, a worker can be seen wiping down suitcases with a cloth as they travel past her. It isn't known exactly which airport the video was filmed at, but it's causing quite a stir online, with comparisons being drawn to less positive experiences at other airports.

Last year workers at Luton Airport in the UK were filmed throwing passenger's baggage off a plane and onto a waiting truck. Some bags even fell onto the concourse from the plane as they were hurled out of the aircraft. The footage collected thousands of views and resulted in easyJet saying they were investigating the incident after several passenger complaints. 

So next time you're drooling over that Ted Baker luggage set, spare a thought for which airport you'll be heading to. It just might be worth it after all.
