The future of flying is business jets fitted with skylights

Amy Nelmes Bissett

For most of us, flying can often be the worst part of the journey. Personal space is exchanged for small seats, little windows and shuffling through aisles.

But the Embraer could end all of this. The business jet, with an eight-figure price tag, want to offer the traveller as much natural light as possible.

In fact, each of the newly designed planes come with a skylight, which has yet to be seen in a large jet with a pressurised cabin.

Step forward Embraer's new $55million Lineage 1000, with large observer windows and low seats to take full advantage of the views.

Embraer Vice President of interior design Jay Beever told Business Insider: "We've proven to ourselves that we can make this.

"And when a Lineage customer is ready to order this aeroplane, we will make it."
