WWOS staff
New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter has been forced to resist the efforts of a woman determined to steal the match ball from a young girl.
Post-match footage shows Jeter, who will earn over $10M this year despite a pay cut, waving some spectators away as he tries to find a fan to gift the match ball to.
As he approaches the fans one man cups his hand expectantly before a woman in the orange jersey of the Astros repeatedly reaches up in front of the girl.
