Wakeboarder hitches 135km/h ride behind Ferrari

A British wakeboarder with a penchant for spectacular stunts has done it again after hitching a ride behind a Ferrari.

Jorge Gill has shared a video of his latest escapades which saw him tie a rope to the rear spoiler of a rare Ferrari F50.Only 349 of the cars were made worldwide. They boast a 4.7L V12 engine that propels the vehicle to 100km/h in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of more than 320km/h.Needless to say it didn't take long for Gill to share in the car's thrills.After dropping into a roadside canal, Gill was pulled to the water's surface with ease and then accelerated behind the Ferrari at break-neck speed.Protected by only a full length wetsuit, it's estimated he successfully wakeboared at 135km/h before finally having to let go of the rope to end the ride.Gill's latest stunt follows a similarly daring video he produced in January when he used a winch to wakeboard through a flooded underground carpark.And while the 18-year-old has been lauded by many on social media, the antics may yet backfire, with police believed to be among those reviewing the latest video as they consider pressing charges.
