Volleyroos into world second-tier semis

The Australian men's volleyball team will head to the home leg of the second-tier world championships in strong form after a four-set win over Turkey in China.
The Volleyroos won 26-24 20-25 25-21 25-19, with captain Paul Carroll scoring a game-high 20-points and teammate Luke Smith contributing 17 in Kunshan.
Australia finished third behind Slovenia and the Netherlands in group two of the FIVB World League after winning six of nine matches leading into the finals.

Australia play in the semi-finals on June 25 on the Gold Coast, with their opponent yet to be defined.
