Fresh angle shows McGregor eating sucker-punch as upset Khabib threatens to quit over team's punishment

New footage has emerged of the moment Conor McGregor was sucker-punched during the wild scenes that followed his UFC 229 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas.

The vision was uploaded to the Twitter account of @iPraticTech, and it shows Nurmagomedov team member Zubaira Tukhugov blindsiding McGregor with a right hook to the side of the head.

In response to the dirty strike, UFC President Dana White has put the kaibosh on Tukhugov’s next scheduled fight on the 27th October and there's even word he'll be kicked out of the company for good.

Funnily enough Tukhugov’s opponent for the fight was McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov, the man McGregor was standing up for when he threw a trolley at a bus Khabib was travelling in last April in Brooklyn.

On top of that, the Nevada Athletic Commission handed down 10 day bans to both fighters from Oct. 15, after letters were sent out on Wednesday morning according to commission executive Bob Bennett.

Despite being banned himself, Khabib blew up over Tukhugov's treatment, stating the UFC's double standards over his team's punishment may force him to quit the sport.

"Why do you have to punish my team, when both teams fought," Nurmagomedov said in a statement posted on his Instagram account.

"If you say that I started it, then I do not agree, I finished what he had started.

"In any case, punish me, @zubairatukhugov has nothing to do with that.

"If you think that I'll keep silent then you are mistaken. You cancelled Zubaira's fight and you want to dismiss him just because he hit Conor.

"But don't forget that it was Conor who had hit my another Brother FIRST, just check the video.

"If you decide to fire him, you should know that you'll lose me too. We never give up on our brothers in Russia and I will go to the end for my Brother.

"If you still decide to fire him, don't forget to send me my broken contract, otherwise I'll break it myself.

"We have defended our honour and this is the most important thing. We intend to go to the end."

Nurmagomedov said his actions immediately after his win were a result of McGregor's provocation in the build-up to the fight, which included smashing the window of the Russian's bus earlier this year.

In his Instagram statement, Nurmagomedov added: "Why didn't you fire anyone when their team attacked the bus and injured a couple of people?

"They could have killed someone there, why no one says anything about insulting my homeland, religion, nation, family?"

McGregor is currently serving a one month ban on medical grounds but his manager, Audie Attar expressed confidence over the investigation into his charge.

“It will be clear who and where the blame lies,” Attar said in a statement.

“We are focused on the future.”

UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier took to social media to express his support for Khabib and to urge Dana White to be more lenient with the punishments handed down.

“Let em fight @danawhite,” he posted. “Manage the riff raff and let these two fight!!!!! Good sh** Khabib.”

The Nevada State Athletic Commission is still withholding Nurmagomedov's $2 million fight purse during its investigation, resulting in the Daegstani fighter issuing some stern words over his hard earned cash.

“You can keep my money that you are withholding,” Nurmagomedov posted.

“I hope it won’t get stuck in your throat.”
