Marlon Moraes beats Jimmie Rivera sixth-fastest knockout in UFC history

Marlon Moraes made a statement with the sixth-fastest knockout in UFC/WEC history in his victory over Jimmie Rivera.

Moraes landed a perfect head kick knockout just 33 seconds into the bantamweight fight at UFC Utica to claim his third-straight win, and 16th in 17 bouts.

"I’m very happy with this," Moraes said.

"I’m a mixed martial artist, if you think I’m going to take you down, I’m going to knock you out.

"I’m going to win the UFC bantamweight title."

It was the first time Rivera suffered a knockout loss in his career. Moraes' highly efficient win took his overall record to 21-5-1.
