UFC: Ngannou delivers brutal knockout at Fight Night

UFC heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou has sent a disturbing message to reigning champion Miocic Stipe after destroying former champ Andrei Arlovski at UFC Fight Night Denver. 

Frenchman Ngannou sensationally dispatched Arlovski with a brutal uppercut to claim victory in a 90-second, first-round knockout. 

Arlovski, who was the undisputed champion in 2005, made a critical mistake when he went looking for the chin of the 193cm Ngannou with a reaching right-hand punch early in the fight. 

But all he found was his own destruction.  

'The Predator' countered with a devastating one-two combination, clocking Arlovski over the head with a left before knocking him to the ground with a brutal right-hand uppercut.

Ngannou then jumped on his rival and finished off the quick-fire encounter with heavy dose of ground-and-pound. 

The result improves Ngannou's record to 11-1 and extends his winning streak to five. 

But records aside, the victory showcased the power and ability of a fighter who has been dubbed a "potential" champion by none other than UFC president Dana White. 

"I also believe he has the potential to hold that title for a very long time,” White said. 

Not bad for a fighter ranked tenth in the division. Watch out Stipe!
