If Mark Hunt and Alistair Overeem weren’t so big and scary you would just tell them to wake up to themselves after this display.

Hunt – the half-Kiwi, half-Aussie who is no stranger to UFC drama – adopted a ''I won’t shake your hand, but you can shake mine'' approach to the pre-fight photo opportunity ahead of their fight in Las Vegas tomorrow.

Mark Hunt said no to the handshake offer of Alistair Overeem.

Overeem, a British-born Dutch fighter who stand 1.93m tall and weighs 112kg, probably isn’t used to people knocking back the seemingly-friendly offer of a handshake.

Hunt did just that, only to offer his hand shortly after. Overeem obliged, but that only started a strange scene in which neither fighter wanted to look at the other.

As far as people avoiding each other goes, this is rather interesting. Psychologists would have a field day with this sort of stuff.

One thing is certain though, neither man will be avoiding the other when they step into the octagon as part of the UFC209 card tomorrow.
