UFC: Conor McGregor sued by fighter Michael Chiesa over infamous bus attack
Conor McGregor has been sued by fellow fighter Michael Chiesa for his infamous April bus attack in the lead up to UFC 223, TMZ Sports reports.
Chiesa was forced to pull out from the fight-card after suffering cuts to his face during the attack at Barclay’s Center which saw McGregor launch a steel dolly through a bus window carrying fighters on the 223 card.
It is unclear how much Chiesa is seeking over the attack but the lightweight contender is claiming damages for “severe emotional distress, mental trauma and/or bodily harms” as part of his suit.
Chiesa will also seek restitution from Barclays Center, alleging the venue failed to ensure the safety of its patron.

Conor McGregor was arrested by New York Police on multiple charges including two counts of assault and one count of attempted assault.
He reached a deal with prosecutors in July which saw the star plead guilty to a count of disorderly conduct.
Following the suit McGregor thanked the District Attorney for “allowing me to move forward.”
A host of other fighters were injured in the attack including female contender Rose Namajunas who claimed she was emotionally scarred by the incident.
McGregor is set to fight Russian powerhouse Khabib Nurmagomedov on October 6th.
The highly anticipated matchup will mark his first fight in the UFC since his round-10 TKO loss to Floyd Mayweather in August last year.
