All the attention may have been on the clash between Tim Tszyu and Stevie Spark in Newcastle tonight, but one of the undercards has produced a brutal knock-out.

The first fight of the Tszyu-Spark card was a bout between Miles Zalewski and Lee Fook, who was a last-minute replacement for Zalewski's original opponent, Paul Fleming.

Fook began the fight well, holding his own in the first four rounds before Zalewski dealt him a harsh dose of reality in the fifth round.

The 31-year-old was sent crashing to the canvas after a lusty blow left him knocked out cold.

"Sickening left hook that left his opponent (lying) there for a full minute," Australian boxing icon Jeff Fenech said on commentary on MainEvent's coverage.

"That was a devastating shot. A highlight-reel knockout from Miles Zalewski," co-commentator Ben Damon added.

"First four rounds, nothing happened. Miles Zalewski said: 'Round Five is my round'. He told us in the commentary position. Then he stepped out and he did that. A massive shot."

The loss was Fook's third in a row after making his boxing debut earlier in 2021, while Zalewski improved his record to an impressive 9-1 with his fourth stoppage win in a row.
