Ball boy tumbles headfirst into wall

Powered by

A tough young Spaniard has cemented the reputation of ball boys being the Queen’s Guard of tennis after shrugging off an embarrassing moment where he fell into a wall.

During a match at the Barcelona Open, the boy had just finished throwing Nicolas Almagro balls during a service game when he promptly turned and headed back to his post at the end of the court.

The young man was caught out in embarrassing fashion on his way there though, tripping over a clay-coloured mat at the end of the court and tumbling headfirst into the wall.

The impact was loud enough to distract Almagro, but when he turned to look the young boy refused to give anything away, stoically nodding at the Spaniard.

The ball boy did drop his guard a little when Almagro turned back to serve, smiling at a nearby line umpire.
