Tennis: Alexander Zverev accidentally terrifies ball boy with fierce fist pump

World No. 5 Alexander Zverev has terrified a young ball boy after winning a vital point against Nicoloz Basilashvili at the Shanghai Open.

After besting Basilashvili in a crucial moment the German expressed his delight with a fierce fist pump.

So impassioned was Zverev’s celebration that it startled a young ball boy whom the preceding point had taken him charging toward.

The startled boy almost fell back on to his haunches, as his eyes widened in shock.

The point proved pivotal as Zverev went on to down the Georgian in straight sets before disposing of Aussie starlet Alex de Minaur.

He faces the United Kingdom’s Kyle Edmund in the semi-final on Friday afternoon.
