Radwanska not rattled by Sydney final loss

Agnieszka Radwanska was overwhelmed in the Sydney International final but the world No.3 isn't panicking ahead of the Australian Open.

Radwanska had no answers to Sydney-born Brit Johanna Konta on Friday night, falling 6-4 6-2 in just 81 minutes.

The Pole has performed well at Melbourne Park throughout her career, reaching four quarter-finals and two semi-finals.

But the 2013 Sydney International winner has been unable to add a grand-slam crown to 20 WTA titles.

Radwanska felt content with her preparation for the season-opening grand slam.

"Couldn't be any better," Radwanska said.

"I'm here in the last day of the (Sydney International) tournament, so it's still a great week for me.

"I'm happy to have a couple of good matches on this kind of level, like (the final against Konta) .. it's always great to play players like that, who are pushing you 100 per cent.

"I feel good. I feel confident, just going to have one day of rest and get ready to play on Tuesday."

Radwanska's first hurdle at the Australian Open is Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova, who beat her at the French Open last year.

"Definitely a tough draw. We've played so many times against each other, have had a couple of really long, tough battles," Radwanska said.

"I'm expecting really good match in the first round."
