Aussie tennis star Nick Kyrgios admits career 'may be over' but says 'I'm OK with that'
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has confirmed he might never make it back to the professional game.
Kyrgios, 28, wrote a column for The Sydney Morning Herald, published on Wednesday morning, in which he revealed he is seriously considering retirement.
"I sat down with my agent, Stuart Duguid, a couple of days ago to talk about my future," he wrote.

"The reality is, there is a part of me that knows my time in the sport may be over. And I'm OK with that."
He also confirmed he won't be making himself available for the Olympics this year.
Kyrgios has barely set foot on a court since withdrawing from last year's Australian Open with injury.

The unfortunate withdrawal followed his best ever season on tour, in which he reached the Wimbledon final.
He lost that match to 24-time grand slam winner Novak Djokovic, and the pair have since enjoyed a blossoming bromance which was on show on Tuesday night.
Kyrgios conducted the on-court interview after Djokovic beat Taylor Fritz to reach the Australian Open semi-finals.

The Aussie's last question was about Djokovic's favourite tree in Melbourne's botanic gardens, which the Serbian hugs and climbs before and during the Open.
"Can you show me which tree that is? Because I need to get healthy," Kyrgios said.

"I'm sick of you winning on this court and I just want to come back maybe once, and beat you one time."
Those comments are in contrast with his Herald column, although may have been more lighthearted.
Kyrgios has been commentating the Australian Open for Eurosport and confirmed his future may be in the box, rather than on the court.
