Fiery American who clashed with the crowd a mystery no show as Australian Open 2026 entry list unveiled
The entry lists for the 2026 Australian Open has been revealed, with all the big names set to make their way to Melbourne for the grand slam.
However, one player who will not be coming down under in January is American Danielle Collins, who will miss the tournament.
The world No.64 has enjoyed playing the villain at Australian Open tournaments in previous years, taunting fans and poking fun at Aussies generally. Collins was also famously the beaten finalist when Ash Barty made history for Australia by winning the tournament in 2022.

In 2025, Collins was booed onto the court, before going down to Madison Keys 6-4, 6-4 in the third round.
She had spent the previous round blowing kisses and smacking her own backside in the direction of the crowd. Collins joked that everyone in attendance was just paying for her five-star holiday that would follow the tournament, and her bills in general.
However, one year on she will seemingly not make her way to Australia, so she'll have to find alternative sources of income for her future five-star holidays.
When contacted by Wide World of Sports, Tennis Australia said it was currently unaware why Collins has opted out.
The 31-year-old initially suggested she would retire in 2024 to start a family, but returned to the circuit after struggling with endometriosis.
Since her most recent Australian Open campaign, she has played in numerous tournaments. Collins was eliminated from the French Open in the second round, Wimbledon in the third round and the US Open in the first round.

She has not entered a tournament since that US Open defeat in August. Collins' best ever grand slam result was her 2022 Australian Open final defeat to Barty in two tight sets, 6-3, 7-6(2).
Former world no.1 Karolina Pliskova will also miss the Australian Open. As will Ons Jabeur, who is on maternity leave.
Aussie star Nick Kyrgios has not been named among the entrants, though that was always to be the case.
His ranking has dropped below the automatic qualifying cut-off but is set to be given a wildcard.
Top ranked Aussies Alex De Minaur, Alexi Popryin, Adam Walton, Aleksandar Vukic, Thanasi Kokkinakis and Tristan Schoolkate have been entered on the men's side, while veteran James Duckworth has already earned a wildcard spot into the draw.
On the women's side, Maya Joint, Daria Kasatkina, Ajla Tomljanovic and Kimberley Birrell have had their entry confirmed, as has teen prodigy Emerson Jones as a wildcard.
