'Proud of myself': Australia's Olivia Gadecki knocks over world No.11 in career-best result
Olivia Gadecki is through to her first tour-level quarter final after pulling off a huge upset over world No.11 and former Australian Open finalist Danielle Collins in the WTA event in Guadalajara.
The 22-year-old Gold Coast product has been in strong form of late and produced another quality performance against the American on Thursday (AEST).
Gadecki cruised past Collins in straight sets with a 6-3, 6-3 win and has now won back-to-back matches against top-100 opponents for the first time in her career.

Earlier in the draw, Gadecki emerged victorious against former world No.3 Sloane Stephens as well as fellow Aussie rising star, Maya Joint.

"I'm really proud of myself for giving myself the chance to play another match and play such amazing players and really test my abilities," she said.
Gadecki is now expected to crack into the top-120 in the WTA rankings and could still climb higher if her she manages to go deeper in the hard-court tournament in Mexico.
Up next for Gadecki is Italy's Martina Trevisan in the quarter finals.
Trevison has been on a run of her own in Guadalajara, knocking off eighth seed Caroline Dolehide and local hope Renata Zarazúa on her way to the quarters.
