Mixed fortunes for top-seeded Open juniors

There have been mixed fortunes for the top-seeded juniors at the Australian Open, China's Yibing Wu losing and Switzerland's Rebeka Masarova advancing to the girls' final.

Wu was beaten 6-4 3-6 6-2 on Friday by Israeli No.4 seed Yshai Oliel, while Masarova defeated Canadian seventh seed Bianca Vanessa Andreescu 4-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-0.

Masarova will meet Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in the final, the No.11 seed accounting for Russian 16th seed Elena Rybakina in straight sets.

In the boys' final, Oliel will take on Hungarian Zsombor Piros, who has beaten French fifth seed Corentin Moutet in straight sets.
